
HISTORY
The Postgraduate Program in Food Science (PPGCA) was created in 1969, associated with the Department of Food Science and the School of Food Engineering of the State University of Campinas (FEA/UNICAMP). The PPGCA received a grade A (maximum) in the evaluations carried out by the Ministry of Education and, with the implementation of the triennial evaluation system and later the quadrennial evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the PPGCA has obtained a grade 7, ranking among the best postgraduate programs in the country. Since the creation of the academic master's degree in 1969 and the doctorate in 1975, the PPGCA has been acting significantly for the scientific, technological and social advancement of Latin America.
